Ninja Recognition: Marwa Ayyash

Why Marwa?

For the past year, Marwa has been an incredible part of our community. From day one, she's brought a positive attitude and a smile to every class—even through the toughest workouts.

Her consistency and dedication to her health and fitness are second to none. If she's not training with us, there's a good chance she's getting another workout in somewhere else or even knocking out a set of push-ups while she's on shift!

More than just her work ethic, Marwa is always encouraging those around her and helping motivate others to keep pushing. She leads by example and reminds us that showing up with a great attitude is just as important as putting in the work.

Congratulations, Marwa! Thank you for being such an awesome part of the CrossFit 8 Mile family. Your positivity, dedication, and commitment inspire everyone around you. We can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

Your CrossFit Story: How did you get started?

I started crossfit a year ago because I was looking for a way to get back to being consistent in the gym. The first 2 years after finishing residency, I was so focused on work that I wasn't making time to exercise. I tried a few times to do the regular lifts I used to do before in a commercial gym but it started to feel boring. I've seen videos of crossfit athletes and workouts before and thought I'd try it out. I knew it would be a good fit for me from day 1.

Why do you continue to do CrossFit?

It's fun, challenging and effective. I like the variability of the workouts. But best part is being surrounded by people who push you to become a better version of yourself.
